Amantin Indications

- Parkinson's disease, parkinsonism different etiology

- Herpes zoster neuralgia at (Herpes zoster)

- Prevention and treatment of influenza A

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to amantadine or to any component of the product; epilepsy and other seizures; severe renal insufficiency; peptic ulcer disease.

Dosage & Administration

The tablets should be taken orally, after food, with a little liquid, preferably in the morning and / or afternoon. Due to the possible activating effect on the central nervous system (CNS) last dose is recommended to take before 16 pm.

Parkinson's disease. Dosage is individual. The recommended starting dose for adults - 100 mg (1 tablet) Amantynu 1 per day for the first 7 days, followed by increasing doses up to 100 mg 2 times a day. The dose should be increased gradually at intervals of a week to achieve effective therapeutic, which should take 2 doses.

The doses that exceed 200 mg per day may provide an additional therapeutic effect, but also can increase toxicity. The maximum daily dose - 400 mg.
