Contradictions
Conditions such as increased individual sensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other salicylates and other NSAIDs, with hemorrhagic diathesis, peptic gastric and / or duodenal ulcers, as well as in patients with erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in history, urological disorders kidney and / or liver, III trimester of pregnancy.
Dosage & Administration
Dose of Alka-Seltzer and the duration of treatment is determined individually, taking into account the nature and severity of the pathological process, achieved therapeutic effect and tolerability of acetylsalicylic acid.
The recommended dose of Alka-Seltzer for adults and children over the age of 15 years is 1 tablet at intervals of 4-8 hours between meals. If severe pain and increased body temperature is used 2-3 tablets. The maximum daily dose of aspirin for adults - 4 grams (12 tablets).
Before applying one effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water (200 mL). The duration of treatment with Alka-Seltzer should not exceed 3 days.
