Actovegin Indications
- Treatment of cerebral vascular genesis, including post-stroke cognitive impairment and dementia.
- Treatment of peripheral (arterial, venous) blood flow and its complications (arterial angiopathy, venous trophic ulcers).
- Treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or drugs to such a structure. Decompensated heart failure, pulmonary edema, oliguria, anuria are general contraindications to infusion therapy because of the drug in the form of infusions under these conditions is contraindicated due to possible hydration.
Dosage & Administration
Actovegin is used intravenously, intraarterially or intramuscularly; it also can be added to infusion solutions.
Depending on the severity of the patient and the clinical picture was originally introduced Actovegin 10-20 ml, solution for injection, intravenous or intra-daily; for further treatment administered 5 ml intravenously or intramuscularly slowly daily or several times a week.
