PRIORA INDICATIONS
Early stage (prodromal or erythema) of recurrent herpes simplex in patients with reduced immunity.
APPLICATION
Exterior.
Adults and children aged 12-18 years: Carefully apply a thin layer on the exposed surface, affected by the herpes virus, 5 times a day (approximately every 3 hours during waking hours).
Treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after the first signs of herpes (pain, burning / tingling / itching, redness). Treatment is continued until the recovery is usually from 4 to 6 days (maximum - 10 days).
Elderly people: there are no special recommendations for dosing.
Dosage in renal failure: no dose adjustment necessary due to low absorption when applied topically.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to docosanol or any component of the drug; age up to 12 years.
